What we collect, why, and how we keep it.
Who we are
Colère Nu, Inc. (“Colère Nu,” “we,” “us”) operates the membership platform at colerenu.com. We are a Massachusetts-based private dialogue collective.
What we collect
When you apply for membership, we collect your name, email, city, age range, and how you heard about us. When you complete the Dialogue Signature assessment, we collect your answers and compute an archetype.
When you attend events, we record your RSVP, attendance, dietary needs (if you provide them), and, if you opt in, structured observations a host records about your conversational tendencies. Event hosts also provide venue addresses and map coordinates so we can show directions subject to the event's address-visibility setting.
We do not collect: financial account numbers, social security numbers, government IDs, or continuous location data from your device.
MeshX diagnostics
MeshX is our private behavioral diagnostic for team development and instrument research. For organization engagements, we may collect a participant's name, work email, role, department, assessment responses, consent, completion status, and response timestamps. For standalone individual research, we may also collect phone number, general location, birth year, industry, and optional feedback.
We use this information to deliver and support the diagnostic, generate privacy-thresholded team findings, facilitate development sessions, maintain instrument integrity and security, and calibrate the instrument. MeshX is developmental. It is not intended for hiring, promotion, compensation, discipline, termination, or clinical decisions.
Authorized Colère Nu MeshX administrators may access named participant records, answers, and internal scoring for facilitation, support, security, and research. Approved company leaders can see their roster and completion status plus aggregate team findings after the privacy threshold is met. They do not receive individual answers or individual results by default. Standalone individual research records are not attached to a company workspace.
We do not sell MeshX data or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Identifiable MeshX pilot records are generally retained for up to 24 months after the relevant campaign or engagement closes, unless a shorter client agreement or rights request applies, or law requires longer retention. We may retain de-identified or aggregate research data longer because it no longer identifies a participant.
How we use it
Your data is used to match you to events, curate the rooms you attend, personalize your experience, and communicate with you about the membership.
Your assessment answers, and any reflections you share after events, may also be used in de-identified and aggregate form for research and to calibrate the instrument that reads how people move in conversation. You agree to this when you apply, and this work is never tied to your name.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.
Who can see what
Other members may see your name, archetype, bio, “ask me about,” and topics you love if you're attending the same upcoming event. Members do not see your full preferences, host notes, raw assessment scores, or contact info.
Event hosts can see room reads they personally authored while your host-observation preference remains enabled. Admins can access host-observed data and private notes for curation, support, safety, and account-rights requests.
SMS / text messages
If you provide a phone number, we may text you about events you have RSVP'd to and about other events we think match your signature. We do not text you for marketing without your explicit opt-in. You can reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can edit your profile and use the account controls to export your self-service data or permanently delete your account. Some financial, safety, legal, and shared event records may be retained in pseudonymous form where required for integrity or compliance. Email hello@colere.nu for a reviewed access, correction, or deletion request concerning membership or MeshX data, or for any privacy question. We will verify the request and respond within the period required by applicable law.
Storage and security
Data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest and in transit. The Dialogue Signature scoring algorithm is a trade secret and not exposed publicly.
We use service providers such as Vercel for application hosting, Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage, Resend for transactional email, and Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. They process information only to provide those services under their applicable terms. Optional site analytics are withheld from private MeshX token, login, workspace, and administration routes.
Changes to this policy
We'll notify members via email when this policy changes materially. The current version is always at this URL.
